📌 During the entire night from February 25 to 26, severe fighting  took place on the outskirts of Kyiv, ending at about 10:00 AM with the the Ukrainian military having the upper hand. More information here.

📌During the night, the ”Grigory Kupriyanov” – the Ukrainian border service ship was attacked by a Russian drone. The drone was shot down nearby Chernomorsk.

📌The Russian army has begun redeployment and continues to carry out air strikes on airfields, on groups of the Ukrainian armed forces in the East and in the central part of the Kiev region. “Caliber” cruise missiles were also fired from the Black Sea on the territory of Ukraine.

📌A rocket hit a residential building in Kyiv.

📌Russia is waging a full-scale information war against the Armed Forces of Ukraine. There are fake calls coming from various phone numbers of Ukrainian servicemen directed to their relatives with false information about their condition and location.

📌In the north-eastern region of Sumy, Russian aircrafts have been reported/have allegedly been scattering children’s toys filled with explosives, valuables and mobile phones.

📌The Russian Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media – Roskomnadzor demands from the Russian independent media to remove all publications on War in Ukraine wherever “war” term is attributed.

📌Russian saboteurs in Donetsk are preparing a chemical provocation –gas masks are being supplied to the Russian military and local militants.  

📌The northeastern region of Sumy was shelled by Russian Grad rockets. 

📌Russian troops are destroying Mariupol city.

📌As of 15:00 local time on 25.02 fierce fighting was taking place in the cities of Kherson, Nikolaev, Odessa, and Mariupol. Kyiv is under continuous shelling. Also, Russian sabotage groups are making attempts to infiltrate Kyiv.

Nevertheless, the Armed Forces of Ukraine keep the situation under control and are actively resisting. In many cities throughout Ukraine, air raid alerts are constantly going off.

📌 Kherson was again under Ukrainian control, as the Ukrainian flag was raised once more over the city.

📌According to the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine recaptured the Kyiv hydroelectric power station and prevented a possible breakthrough of the dam and subsequent large-scale destruction of Kyiv city.

 

📌President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky remains in Kyiv and regularly goes live to appeal to Ukrainian citizens and the international community.

📌Ukrainian Railways has increased the number of evacuation trains from Kyiv to Western Ukraine due to fierce fighting in and in the suburbs of Kyiv city.

📌The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is launching a hotline for mothers and wives of soldiers killed or captured in Ukraine. The hotline will provide information of their fate and convey relevant information regarding the soldier’s status, if they are alive and/or taken prisoner, as well as to facilitate transportation of the bodies if necessary.
